Generator won't turn on

The solenoid makes a clicking sound but but generator won't turn on. A new coach battery has been installed. Generator is a Kohler. Any ideas?

Make sure all your battery connections are super tight.

Make sure the cables are more than finger tight and then look for a groung wire from the generator to a part of the metal frame. Mine had a barely tight, sheet metal screw holding it.

That's often is a ground problem, check the ground connection from the house battery, and from the generator to the frame.

Are you waiting long enough for it to crank? The fuel pump can make a clicking noise. Try hold the switch longer.
