Good insurance companies for class C
Since I'm in the market for a class C, I'd like some advice on where to shop around for the best priced, user-friendly insurance. I'm 36 with a clean driving record and have been quoted at $1100/yr as a ballpark estimate for a 32' Class C bunkhouse. Suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Geico gave me the best deal and I was able to combine my other vehicles under the RV Policy.

If that quote is with your current insurance company I would run for the hills. If not check with them. I have Geico for all autos and I don't pay $1100 for 2 Suv's, a van, and an 03 Class C. Just go online or call for a few different quotes.

We pay $546 a yr for on 06 class C full coverage including awning and leveler repair and or replacement through Foremost (a Farmers owned company).
Progressive came in about the same and Good Sam which uses GMAC was $160 more a year.
Do remember that rates will vary depending on your garaging location.
Yes I work in insurance. :-)

This is a good ball park figure, I do not pay much more for my class A for full coverage. Had over $35K in damage once on a previous MH. Erie covered with NO problem. I had the MH fixed at the factory and was told by the factory, that Erie was the best insurance co. they had dealt with.

We ended up going thru Allstate and only pay $55 per month for full coverage. It cost us less for our 26' MH than to get full coverage on a car!

So about $610 a yr.
Does Allstate offer awning ,jacks, tv antena etc replacement coverage ? Just curious as I found not all traditional auto coverage companies do offer this so like to keep notes for future shopping reference. :-)

If your from the western part of the country,I would suggest trying Pemco. I have full coverage on my Class A Tradewinds LTC and it's running me $711 this year. I also have my '78 chev p/u and my '04 Trailblazer and the total is $2200. I have full coverage on the MH and Toad with deductibles of $300 collision and $200 comp. Yes,I do pay more for having the lower deds, but I figure I can pay a bit higher premiums than write a check for $750 or $1000 if something happens.
My total coverage went up $11 this year and I think that's pretty good considering they paid out almost $8,000 for a roof replacement and the water damage to the wall from the leak and about $3,000 when the tailpipe burned thru and started a small fire in the rear end.

We use Good Sam. Less that State Farm that has all our other vehicles.
