Gulf Stream Supernova 6400

Been away quite a few years from having a motor home and looking to buy a good used unit. I have been considering a used 2008 or 2009 Gulf Stream Supernova 6400 or 6372 model. The 6400 has the floor plan that has every thing I like and want but I am concerned with the rear over hang and ride. Have reviewed both good and bad reviews as far as ride. I am willing to upgrade the suspension to air ride if that takes care of the issues. Really would like some constructive comment from you Gulf Stream owners.

6400 ride and over hang

First of all I have a 2009 6400 with nearly every option and low miles that I am looking to sell. We are looking to go to a toy hauler trailer. The 6400 is a bit over kill for the amount of time we get for camping.

Now the ride? Well it's no Mercedes but I don't see a huge difference from the 2015.5 Thor Challenger we traded in. In fact the 6400 doesn't rock or bobble like the Challenger did. The 6400 us a towing beast too compared to most RVS in its class.

My wife drove the 6400 for the first time in narrow streets and parking lots in Simi Valley, CA. We find it to be the most agile RV we have had. The rear Jacks drag occasionally on steep turn in but very rarely and not enough to be concerning. The swing out is not really an issue either since you learn to watch the rear wheels in your mirror. Given that case the over hang simply follows. It's also a plus in many shorter spaces in the state parks because your back end can extend way past the parking stops.

I hope this helps (Mod Edit).
