I am new to RVing and am considering purchasing a SuperNova 6372. I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with these units good or bad?

If anyone owns one I would be particulary interested in gas consumption and any problems.

Thanks for any info.

EagleCrest, if I'm not mistaken, this is a fairly new unit that has only been out for a year or two. If it's the one I'm thinking about, its on an International chassis that's quite beefy. I talked with an owner that had one for a couple of months and he loved the International. It was very nice looking inside. He had not encountered any problems at the time. Sorry I don't know more to tell.

I bought the 6331 model when they first came out. Ordered it in February, 2007 and received it 12 long weeks later. I have over 27,000 miles on it and absolutely love the way the class 6 chassis drives (I had a Kodiak chassis on a previous RV and their is no comparison between the class 5 vs. the class 6). Had a few new coach issues with the box but Gulf Stream was great to work with during the warranty period. You might want to check out the Gulf Stream Owners Forum. There are a lot of threads on the Nova and the International chassis on that forum:

Eaglecrest,

I had a Gulfstream 5th wheel. I had many problems with it and Gulfstream never stood behind their product. I would never own another Gulfstream product but that's just my opinion based on my experience. I share this only because if I was buying I would want to hear both sides. Hope your experience is better than mine was.

RJ

I've had my Supernova for a couple of years now. I bought it just after the tornado rolled through Napanee so I did have some warranty issues that Gulfstream was slow to react to but they finally did get resolved. This is my second gulfstream, the first being a 92 28 foot conquest. C motorhome.
I like the styling and the International chassis. I wish it had air ride suspension, and brakes but I haul my 1914 Cadillac in a 22 foot enclosed trailer and it handles it pretty well. Would like a larger engine but for the price I cannot complain. As with any MH there are always things to change but all in all I like this coach.

I added air suspension to my 2008 6331 SuperNova and the difference in the ride is night and day. The aftermarket vendor was American Carrier Equipment and it was installed for around 5grand by Southwest International Trucks in Dallas.

The 2010 SuperNova is advertised to be on an even beefier 4400 (up from 4200) International chassis which includes air suspension, air brakes, air drivers seat and a more powerful Maxxforce DT466 engine.

I like my VT365 but I have the smallest/shortest SuperNova model and only tow a 2007 Jeep Wrangler. It works fine for me but I would really appreciate the larger DT466 if I had a larger coach or was towing a large trailer.
