We're considering the Gulfstream Class C with the Kodiak chassis, with the 8.1 gas engine. We're not dead set on Gulfstream, it's just that they're the only manufacturer of a Class C that we know of, using the Kodiak chassis & a gas engine.
I have 2 questions....
Does anyone know of any other mfgs who make such a rig?
If we go with the Gulfstream, are there any models/floorplans we should stay away from? (I've recently read about some problems Jayco has been having with their 35+ ft units)

Hi DK. There are several RV manufacturers using the Kodiak chassis, including, Jayco, Coachmen and Born Free.

DK, Skip is right. We have the Kodiak on a 32.5 ft chassis and so far we are very pleased with it. Very few items on our punch list after a month (compared with a long list for the Ambassador and a very long list for the Journey).
Have a look at the Jayco Greyhawk line. 32.5SS and 33DS are on Kodiak with 8.1.
Our Jayco Greyhawk 32SS

Thor Four Winds advertises their Fun Mover with an 8.1L Vortec engine on a Chevy C5500 Kodiak chassis.
However, I went with the 6.6L Duramax Diesel engine in the 36 foot Fun Mover 34C.
