Has anyone added a leveling system to an older Class C?

We love our Winnebago Aspect 26A. But one thing I really wish we had was a leveling system. So tired of hauling boards and plastic legos around.
The motorhome has 90,000 miles on it but is in great condition and we really don't want to trade it for something newer. Plus it's paid for! I know you can add an aftermarket system but I wonder how feasible it is and if anyone here has done it. It wouldn't even have to be the automatic levelers, a joystick system would work fine. Thoughts?

Added Quadra Bigfoot jacks January 2013. $2800 for material and another $75 for a mobile welder off the local Craig's List. Went with Quadra for the hydraulic retract rather than springs. Each jack is rated at 12,000 pounds lift capacity. Coach max is 18,000 pounds so I've got more jack than coach.

Both front and rear are installed just behind the leaf spring mount. The pump assembly was midway between. Control panel is about 3" x 5" push button and can be installed pretty much anywhere.

Thanks for the replies. I was thinking about the Bigfoot system, and having them install it. I'm about three hours from their factory. They sell a wireless system that looks like it would work well, through RVupgrades.com. Looks like I could get the whole thing done for under $3K.

I bought my Forester with the Bigfoot already installed. I like the system and I was very impressed with Quadra when I had to call for newbie tech support on a Saturday afternoon.

baraff-

Along with the convenience, a leveling system adds weight to the coach, decreasing cargo carrying capacity. Some Class C coaches have more margin in that regard. Just a point for you to consider.

We also had 2007 Aspect 26A. Had the HWH joystick system installed. Best money I ever spent, and wife will tell you the same thing. I think either HWH or Bigfoot would do you fine, you have plenty of cargo capacity in your unit so no problem there. Under $3k would be an excellent price.

so I just watched a u-tube on rvtravel.com of a guy who spent a pile of money having one installed on his 5er at a Camping World... they cut the structural panel behind the propane tanks to get to the drivers side front, never re-installed the metal panel... crazy cuts with a plasma torch... very poor welds, crooked, leaks and in my opinion ruined the unit... each corner had problems... paint cooked off with heat from the welder, and the plasma torch... nothing done to touch up the paint and its going to rust... it was a real hash job and he refused the work.... but he took videos for all of us to see... HIS STORY is that CW is not going to fix it and wants their money... of course its ruined his winter and he's now had to get a lawyer to fight this....

They could have, with more time, pulled the gen set and a heat shield with out the sacrifice of the metal steel panel behind the tanks...

Sweetbriar's work looks excellent to me...

I had the Bigfoot automatic system installed by Quadra in White Pigeon in October. Excellent work. Took 45 minutes. Some people donít like the automatic but I do.

Iíve had enough negative experiences with CW that I wouldnít let them give me a free hot dog.

Mine came with Bigfoot ones. One of the reasons we bought the unit. Go for it.

I have been wondering about a leveling system. Wood, blocks & me are just not agreeable. Lol i get level one way and mess it up the other way. Grrr. Help. I have a 1994 27' Telstar . Love it but just can get it to level. Starting to think something is wrong with the springs or shocks. What are or is Bigfoot? Could someone please help with a link. I don't think y'all are talking about the creature, but that is what i have found. I know silly woman newbie. Rofl

Lippert Level up, Big Foot Levelers. Equailizer levelers. These are the terms to Google for auto levelers. I had the Equailzers installed,on mine at their factory in Elkhart, Indiana. I feel the best move I did.
