Hitch rack for scooter and bicycle?

Hi all,

I recently purchased a Lexington 255DS and am now looking for options for traveling locally when parked (short trips to the market or town). I would rather not attach a toad as I will be traveling solo most of the time so I thought that a small scooter along with my bike would work out well but I'm having a hard time finding a hitch rack that would be able to to take both safely while also being easy to load.

The scooter is small (50cc Zuma) and weighs under 200 lbs, bike is full size and weighs approx 40.

I was hoping to get a large cargo rack with a ramp but the ones I'm seeing are not wide enough or don't have a way to tie down securely. The only option I've seen so far that would work is to have a motorcycle rack on the back for the scooter then add a hitch to the front for a bike rack.

Any thoughts on the best approach would be appreciated!

Rob

I have seen bikes hanging on the ladders of RVs. You could do that and get a MC rack for the scooter.

They also make a 2 MC rack. That way You can put both on side by side.

When I had a FR fifth wheel, the bumper had a sticker that said the warranty was void if I attached a bike rack to it, so make sure your RV can support a bike rack. If not, you can usually get a receiver hitch fabricated to attach to the frame that can easily handle bicycles and perhaps your moped.
