Hood vents installed

Hi,
Just attached Daystar hood vents and was impressed with their build quality (U.S. made). Especially liked how the fasteners come from the backside rather than being visible on top.
My engine compartment is pretty packed, and the rule with the 6.0 L diesel is to avoid overheating. I've never had an overheating situation, but figured this might help when in hot weather/towing/long grades/slow speeds, etc. In other words, they aren't for 'ram air', but rather allow heated air to vent through the topside.
This particular set of vents was designed for the Jeep Wrangler but fit my E-450 nicely due to the hood design underneath.

No disrespect intended but I have enough "problems to fix" and "maintenance to do" on my coach without fixing things that aren't broken.

Any added airflow should help even if just a little bit. A second thought here is with the location of the vents should cool the dog house area much better than a solid top area and no ventellation.

Thanks for the comments guys. Yes, I'm just being 'preventive' (I hope), as while it 'ain't broke' it does have a few known issues related to heat that should be addressed in a motor that is being worked all the time (one example, is the duty cycle of a loaded RV). That said, its still a great motor. And yes, they were mainly in pick-ups, but many found there way into the E-Series and cutaways for cube vans, ambulances, RV's that sort of thing. Ford actually de-tuned the performance of the 6.0 diesel in the E's due to the cramped engine compartment and difficulty in shedding heat ( or alternatively, they just didn't hop it up like the pick-ups which are sold on performance numbers). The new 6. 7L diesel would not fit in the E-series, so they provide F-series cutaways for the Super C's now.
