How to Level and chock
Hello
I level my 26 ft class C with leveling block without too much trouble. But then the chock placed behind the wheels aren't effective because they are nowhere near the height of the tires.
What am I not understanding here?

Would I be correct to assume you have no frame jacks and you are leveling with blocks under the tires only? If this is the case and you don't have a least 1 tire on the ground for a chock, then I guess you're stuck with just Park and the emergency brake.

Chock at least 1 wheel that is on the ground. Chocks on the leveling block will slide. You can chock front or back wheels or 1 of each. Not necessary to chock all wheels or even more than 1 unless terrain is very UN level.

If the RV is leveled on blocks, then the slope is canceled out and gravity is not going to pull you down a slope. Chocks only block wheel from rolling downhill. The parking brake and transmission parking pawl are under much less pressure to hold when level. A chock tapped under the tire(s) not on blocks should be more than adequate. You don't have all the tires on blocks, do you? At least one tire should be at the high or low point of the site, you only have to raise the other one, two or three not on that level, not all four.

No frame leveling, and no 4 wheels are NOT all on blocks, so I guess just chock whats on the ground

I bought a set of plastic leveling blocks from CW for very little money on sale. They interconnect like kids Lego blocks but much bigger. You arrange them into the height and ramp shape you need then a wedge-shaped chock piece goes on the back of the top section.
It makes it very easy to level the m/h and stop at the right spot on the blocks.

I'm trying to make a leveling ramp for a 24' motorhome which will be visiting. Does anyone know what the wheelbase of a 24' Class C would be?

My 24' Itasca on an F350 chassis has a 158" WB.
