Great idea, start at the beginning again.

Put it back together, start it up and wait for engine batteries to reach 13.5 volts or more.

Now check volts on both sides of the solenoid and the small wire. If it's working, they should be the same.

If its engaging and getting warm, and the volts are not the same, jump the two big terminals and see If the house batteries are charging. If yes, you need a new solenoid.

Now, you need to find the correct one.

Very confusing trying to follow this.

Many Motorhomes do not charge house batteries from the engine. So I ask, did it before you started working on it?

Next, the solenoid you replaced was probably a Continuous Duty solenoid not a common starter solenoid. It should not get hot and will eventually (soon) burn out.

You need to check what energizes the solenoid, I suspect it is your house battery cutoff solenoid. The other clue is where do the solenoid battery type cables go. If one goes to each battery set, then it may be for charging or may be your boost solenoid for starting from your house batteries.

Just a few things to think about.

Please Google, Cole Hersee 24059.

If that looks the same as yours, it will work.

A better choice may be one with silver contacts, so you may want to use the specs, of this one, to search for that.

That would be a "Continuous Duty Battery Isolator Solenoid"

Wish there was a labelled diagram of that board to see where all of those connections are.

Looks good Yousef. I think my coach might have something similar. Think I will leave this kind of work to the pros.

One of the problems with auto parts......

The ISOLATOR solenoid looks a whole lot (Exactly) like an old Ford Starter solenoid from the outside.. IT IS NOT THE SAME.
The Starter Solenoid will last perhaps five minutes as an Isolator if you are lucky.

WHY: You mentioned the original ran very hot.. That's why.. the Starter unit gets hotter, so much hotter it burns the coil out since it is designed for like 30 seconds max run time.
