Improving Sterring Stability in Class C MH
I have bn going xcountry now for severl yrs. in my Winnebago Access (24 ft., on Ford E450 chassis, GVW of 16,500) and towing 3600 # CRV (70% of rated capacity). I am considering replacing the front steering stabilizer, in an effort to further dampen the effects of passing transports. The Access is very stiff given its 450 chassis and does not sink at all - so I do not attribute the problem to weak rear axle support (heavy leaf springs). Would appreciate comments from anyone with experience in this area. Will I be waisting $ with purchase of an after market stabilizer ?? Thanks, Hen
