In-Dash Radio / Nav search

I was in a family members RV today and messing around with his radio /nav unit and noticed he had Rand McNally RV interface for GPS software . I'm not sure of the brand but itís a new Fleetwood Discovery so itís the stock unit that comes with the RV. My question is do any of the retail in-dash units come with this software? All I can find is Garmin and Navteq. And the Garmin ones I do find do not seem to be upgradable to the Garmin RV software.

yes I know I can get a separate unit but would prefer an all I none

Any help would be great

Thanks

We have a Jensen VM9725BT in a 2013 NeXus on a Ford E450 Chassis. I don't know who's software is used for the navigation feature. We used it once and it seemed to work fine. At least the software did. I would not recommend this unit to ANYONE. All of the features, be it radio; navigation; CD; aux; etc are stunningly difficult to access and actually use. And that's when you're sitting still and concentrating. When moving, you would need a co-pilot who can run the system.

The user interface is really confusing. Clearly, whomever designed it never used it when behind the wheel of a motorhome.

I bought and installed a Kennwood system on my Whinny and the wire for the GPS antenna was to short and they offered no option to ad length and I never found another source so I took an old Sirrius ant cable and soldered it in line to make it long enough to install on the roof. I didnt want a problem with reception and it hasn't had one .The Sirrius ant is up there too. Several things I didnt like about the unit. The display is to brite at night and it was made for a car. It tied in well with the speakers in house and cab and play music from Siruis and Iphone and usb. Tracks fuel usage unless its turned off while moving then the mileage drops. Also cant add POIs real important if you use it to search for campsites and restaurants. I would not buy one again. I now use a dash 7" Randmcnally that is made for RVs from Camping world less than a third the price, easy updates and keeps you off roads with low bridges and weight limits bellow your weight. POIs can be updated and rated and your ratings can be sent in to RM over the internet. I own 6 GPS units and this is the one I chose for the MH
