Inexpensive tire compressor for 16” tires
Anyone have a recommendation for an inexpensive tire compressor for 16” tires? I’ve read the posts on the viair, but $300 seems a bit expensive for 16” tire application....was thinking more like $50-$75

Do you a Harbor Freight store near you. They have small ones under $100.

The Porter Cable CMB15 is offered at Ebay for $99 with free shipping. It will easily air up your 16" tires. And, if you later upgrade to a motorhome with 19.5 or 22" tires it will also air up those tires. Also available on Amazon and Sears for $129.

Another vote for a $100 pancake compressor from HD or Lowes. They're a little bulky but can do double duty at home to power nailers, etc. Personally I'd stick with name brands like Porter Cable and steer clear of Harbor Freight for something like this (and I do frequently buy from HF). Small "hot dog" compressors are also an option but psi and tank capacities are often less.
IMHO, the VIAIRs, although I'm sure they're excellent, are just too expensive. Air is air.

thanks for the suggestion, I actually have that one from my class A days but its way to big to fit in my 20’ class C.
I should have also mentioned I’m looking for “small” and “good enough”!

Been using this one for several years and it works well, is fairly small and only $40. The built-in gauge reads a bit high though. When it reads 80 psi while running and I shut off and check with a good gauge, it's actually 75 psi. But as long as I know that it's not a problem. Plugs in to 110.

If 120VSC works for you Lowes usually has Porter Cable 150PSI pancake compressors on sale for u der a hundred dollars. The 12VDC compressors I have used in the past have all been a total waste of money.

If you're not looking for a DC powered unit, this one from Menards works well and fits in most of my outside storage compartments. Comes with a 25' hose w/quick connect, weighs less than 20 lbs, and is quieter than the Harbor Freight 150 PSI pancake compressor I bought first. They may be available at other retailers, like Lowes and Home Depot.

I use a milwaukee battery operated unit. Works awesome, ultra portable, and the battery can also be used in all my other M12 tools.
Set it and forget it. It will shut off when it reaches the pressure you set.

Your choice, but IME the 12v units can be weak and fail quickly. I went through a couple. 110 units can run off an outside outlet on your MH with your generator running when boondocking, so don't think battery pumps are your only choice. JMHO
