Had a brief issue with our GPS. Contacted RiverPark and got the following response.
Between 1 DIN unit (with DVD/CD) loader and the monitor, there are 2 separate cables. These cables are identified with a label. One of the cables is marked “AV harness” (this is the bigger connector) and the other cable is marked “Comm harness” (this is the smaller connector). The failure notification that you are seeing suggests that the communication harness may be loose or not set properly. These connectors are located near the 1 DIN unit which is installed behind the dashboard. You can ask your dealership to check this out on a next service visit, or if you will comfortable, you can try reinserting the cable yourself.
