Its fixed

Good morning all. The electric step is fixed. The son in law, did the work. I have very poor vision.
The metal structure that held the framework of ths step, failed.
The step unit inside the coach is kinda like a bread box, with the top cut out and the front cut out. The front is the opening for the door. The top, if there would be the floor of the coach. It is made of light weight steel sheet, maybe 1/16" thick. Where it is folded to up to make the sides it failed. This has been going on for sometime. It started with a previous owner. But I did not notice. Several weeks ago my sister saw that the step was lower on the side that faces the rear of the coach. When the son in law got up to look, he found that the metal had failed in the fold. The right angle. The tear was about 5" long. It had also started tearing on the fold on the other side of the step. The fix, purchased some 1/8" flat metal, the son in law took it to his work and made an angle iron, with sides of 4" on one side and the other side of 2". He put the 4" side up the side of the step box and bolted it in place with 4 bolts. He did this on both sides, then bolted the electric step back in place. Now it is a very solid step. I am a HAPPY CAMPER.
And I forgot to take pictures. DARN.
