Has anyone heard anything about Jayco during this time of financial turmoil? I've been reading plenty about other manufacturers, but nothing on Jayco.

Since Jayco is privately held and owned primarily by its employees, you probably won't see much about them in the financial pages as privately held companies don't have to divulge financial data to the extent that publicly traded companies do.
From their website, it looks like they are pressing ahead with new products:

Jayco is suffering low sales volumes like everybody else. They are now in the process of closing the new Entegra plant in Wakarusa, IN (the one they bought from Travel Supreme earlier this year) and also the Starcaraft trailer plant in Topeka, IN.
Hopefully they have the financial resources to last.

I don't think any RV manufacturer is exempt from declining sales volumes and, where excess production capacity exists, it is good business practice to consolidate production facilities. The root question for Jayco and all the other RV manufacturers, as Gary stated, is "How deep are their pockets - can they last it out?" Unless someone has seen Jayco's books, I don't think any of us know for certain, but I haven't heard of any "slow pay" on warranty claims that would indicate cash flow problems. As shown above, apparently they can still fund new product development as well.
In the past, Jayco operated without debt. They would build new facilities or expand existing facilities on a "pay as you go" basis funded from their free cash flow. If that is still the case, they should be in better shape to weather the storm than some of the highly debt-leveraged companies.
Ultimately, time will tell.

Like Rusty noted, how much cash does the company have on hand and how long are they willing to run the business on negative numbers before they start to sut back on staff and plants.
The operations that run hand to mouth are the ones in trouble.

Thanks guys! I have a friend that is suppose to take delivery of a new unit in about 2 weeks. It should be mostly built by now, I'd think. With all that's going on, I've been a bit worried about warranty and if they will be around. Sounds like they may have good management.

I'm not surprised. Look at the R&D they put into the Embark. And, according to FMCA's current issue of their magazine, Jayco established a new division building top of the line class A diesel pushers based on the Travel Supreme line.

Yeah. And they already closed the plant they bought from TS and moved the production elsewhere to save $.
