I respectfully disagree. I've had a 31' class C and 2 class A Gas(32 and 37 ft.) The C was the best handling and least stressful to drive of the three. That's one reason I'm going back to a C.

That Jayco is a very nice looking unit. I have the same floor plan in my Itasca, although I don't have the bedroom slide. The Queen bed in mine runs North/South instead of East/West.
That extra cargo/people capacity you have shouldn't be a problem, but if you were to tow a good sized boat or utility trailer the tongue weight would eat a good portion of your extra capacity, the water tank doesn't seem too big so that can't add too much weight, if you were to fill that.
The 34.7cu ft. of storage really is minimal for that long a motor home.
I'm lucky with mine in that when we are fully loaded, we have over 2,500# before we hit the GVWR, as well as having 101 cu. ft of outside storage.
I was curios as to why that unit has a 212" wheel base while another Jayco unit with the same length has a 223" wheel base. It must have something to do with the shower/bathroom placement.

We're leaning towards the Greyhawk w/ a careful eye on our cargo. I've got him down 27% of the sticker including the options. I don't think I'm going to do much better than that. Wife saw it in person and loves the layout. Only downside would be that CCC, but I'm hearing its par for the course w/ the Greyhawk line in general.

After seeing those Bigfoot Levlers work, no way in heck I'd order a rig w/o them to save 500 pounds. Talk about convenience !!!

Sure. Really only thing that's holding me up is that CCC but from what I've read, 1620 or so w/ fluids and fuel is not great, but certainly average. I'm thinking I'm obsessing over the wrong thing.

I'd obsess a little more over the price.
27% off list price is pretty good , but not great, since you're getting a left over unit. I got 27% off MSRP on a 2014 unit in March 2013, without any haggling at all over price, along with a very low (in my opinion) interest rate. That was to get me to buy from them, instead of a Camping World that also was offering the same price, on a similar unit.

It might be left-over from a model year standpoint but the dealer isn't seeing it that way is it has only been on his lot since February. It's been quite the adventure so far ...

Any chance of pricing a similar unit at another dealer ? When I was buying mine I thought I had a good price. I called another dealer and got a price about $2,000 cheaper than what I had. The first dealer matched that, and gave me a little lower financing rate as an incentive to buy it from him. Perhaps I could have got an even lower price if I had continued to play one against the other ?

Sorry if this is a repeat since I didn't read all posts. But it sounds like they are "steering" you to what they all ready have on site. I think you showed some interest early on and they may have picked up on it. If so,bargain hard. They want that one off the books.

Hey! How about renting a unit for your two 'missed' trips and getting what you want?

We rented a class C before buying our used one and our only problem with the class C is not having a car/truck to get around in once we get to the campground. Haven't tried towing a car yet but next trip wifey will follow me in her car so we aren't stuck in one place.

I just want to suggest not to look at what your needs presently are but what they will be 5 & 10 years down the road.
