Lazy Daze Gas Milege

I am considering purchasing a 1992 26.5 Lazy Daze with a Ford
E-350 V8 L460 Engine. Anyone have an idea what I can
expect in MPG without towing a vehicle?

Thanks.

When We had a 33 Foot Southwind with the Ford 460, We averaged 7.5 MPG with or without a Toad! Had the unit for 8 Years it was and still is a reasonably reliable rig!

We have a 9600# 23' coach with a 455. I schedule 8.5, we usually get 9.2.
If you start out thinking 8, you won't be far wrong. If you think 8 and then work the whole cost of the adventure down to the bottom of your spread sheet, you will find it is still a bargain.

Our 1991 Lazy Daze 22 ft gets 11+ mpg in California with its Chevy 350 engine. We have fuel injection and the overdrive automatic trans.

My guess for the Ford 26.5 ft would be in the 9 mpg range.

You can go to the Yahoo Group, LifeWithaLazyDazeRV. There are hundreds of owners in the group that can answer more precisely.

I HAVE A 95 FORD 460 21' RV, I get 8.5 @ 65, 9 @ 60, 9.5 @ 55.
Love the 460, lots of power, no slowdowns on hills, all this mileage is with cruise control on.
RV has 70,000 miles.

Average 9.5 mpg at 65 mph with a 1991 24 ft. Born Free with the 460. Drops to 7.5 if you want to go 75-80. The 460 is a dynamite engine.

1992 29' C 460. I get 8mpg going 70mph, 7.5mpg going 75mph, ~8.3mpg going 65mph.

Gas is close to $2/gal now. Pretty awesome!

Just bought a 2015 Four Winds 23U on Ford E350 chassis and V10. Bringing it home to Missouri from Texas I got 8.5 mpg running 60 mph most of the trip. I was only carrying stock weight. Just for info, my 2005 Ford F350 dually gets 11 mpg towing my 40' fifth wheel.

We had a '96 Tioga 24-D and never got better than 9. I'm sure you'll find out that this is pretty normal. It had the same 460 that you're talking about.
