Hi Everybody!

I hope I am posting this in the correct area...

When leveling my class c's hydraulic leveling jacks, one is starting to squeal or screech. It is also moving much slower than the rest. I am not knowledgable about hydraulics and was wondering if anyone else has encountered this problem?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Are these the jacks that have to kick up. I had them on my 2005 Fourwinds Class C. I sprayed them with WD40 and that helped. They seemed to bend, get out of adjustment. Broke one spring. Ended up taking the hammer to them to get them to fold up all the way
Guess I may not the best person to answer this... Good Luck D

Ha! Thanks! I'll try the WD-40 and see if that helps.

WD40 will attract dirt and grime. It is better (and recommended) that you use a DRY silicone spray lubricant. Dry means that it contains no petroleum products.

My jacks Power GEar suggest Not using WD 40---it is hard on the seal----I have used a silicone spray just before I raise them after being down for a while---or I lower them spray and retract before we leave for winter. HAve not had a dirt problem but could. They operate smoothly and have for nine years.

Check with the manufacturer about their reccomendations for lubricant on the post.
