Leveling/stabilizing Winnebago View 24J

My wife and I are looking at purchasing a Winnebago View/Navion, which will be our first RV. We have noticed that upon entering the coach it moves side to side and we are wondering what other owners have done to eliminate this movement when the coach is parked.
I have looked at several web sites and you tube videos which talk about using scissor jacks or some type of blocks (plastic or wood) to help with the movement. Would really like to know what is the best option to eliminate the movement.

I'm not sure these what you are looking for, but I have sumo springs front and back plus Bilstein rear shocks. If you need these parts.

Plastic or wood leveling blocks will allow you to get the coach level but will not affect the side to side rocking motion when you're parked. Scissor jacks when properly placed will address the rocking issue. Of course a powered leveling system will also take care of the rocking and the leveling, but at an expense both in dollars and weight carrying capacity. There's also been talk about Mercedes NOT recommending the addition of a powered leveling system, even though there have been a number of owners having a system installed.

I'm not sure Sumo Springs or shock upgrades will do much to the rocking motion when parked. Usually those suspension ungrades are more for driving and handling improvement.

With out first class C we had to use leveling blocks and learned to live with the rocking motion. Then our class A had a powered leveling system. Now that we've downsized to a 24J Navion we're back to plastic leveling blocks and the rocking motion. After getting used to it again we don't mind, and often joke with each other ... "hey who's rockin' the boat?"

Our Coachmen Prism 24J (very similar to the View) came with installed stabilizer "jacks" (not used for leveling or lifting, just stabilizing) on each rear corner. They do make a really big difference, eliminating (for all practical purpose) any "rocking". We do not use them if we just stop for 1 night usually, be it a CG or truckstop, only if we are staying a bit (just 'cuz I'm lazy, really...). Worth considering. ST

I read the threads when I bought my View G. I started with the plastic block and screw jacks. Cheep works good. Takes time to level. Got wet climbing under the View. The View was better but still moved.
I looked at everything and then had HWH installed. It changed the View. I can drive it push a button and it's level and stable. Like your house. It great when you go to the store and park, level and keep the refer level. Also less stress on the slide outs.
Cost is around 5 K, maybe less. CW has them on sale. If you are near Iowa go to there site and have installed. Don't have CW install, find a local shop.
The other systems don't have references and some need to weld a bracket to the chassis. This won't play with Mercedes.

If you have HWH leveling added, contact Lichtsinn RV. They will sell and then installation is at the HWH main location in Moscow, Iowa directly by HWH. DO NOT HAVE A DEALER INSTALL HWH LEVELING JACKS IN PARTICULAR A CAMPING WORLD. I had this done on a 2008 Winnebago Cambria Class C and they gave me a great price, not much over their cost. They can sell with minimal markup since their cost is just time to make the sale and arrange the install at HWH. I did it all over the phone with Lichtsinn. Install at HWH in Moscow was done in one day. They also have overnight parking with electric hookup and a customer lounge to hang out in if you don't have a toad to run around in the day of the install.

first I would like to thank all who responded to my question. I would like to provide an update and have a couple of others questions.
This past weekend we visited a local dealer and I inquired by leveling jacks. The dealer told me they install Big Foot levelers and they were going to charge me 5400 dollars.
My wife talked to Lichtsinn today and they said they install HWH and would charge 3900 plus tax.
After my wife and I left we looked on the internet and found other Rver's who had leveling jacks installed after they purchased their RV's. Several people had Big Foot levelers installed and others HWH.
My questions now are
1. which leveler system is better?
2. what is the difference between electric levelers and hydraulic levelers?
3. is one system easier to repair than the other?
appreciate any comments

I'm no help for you with these leveling or stabilizing systems, but you got me thinking because I don't recall any rocking motion when entering and walking around our View. Did I just get used to it or was it not a problem? Perhaps before you plunk down good money, see if the motion is really objectionable. Just a thought.

Here at Equalizer Systems, we've got a great leveling system that we installed on a brand new Navion earlier this year. It is a great set up for that Sprinter chassis it's built on, as our system does not require any welding, drilling or cutting that will void the chassis warranty. Email me at nickgodfrey@dayscorp.com and I'd be happy to send some pictures of how the system sets up on that coach!

I've had motor homes with and without leveling jacks. I would recommend you hold off on making any sizable purchase for a while. When we had our class C without jacks it didn't take us long to get used to the swaying and it stopped bothering us. It's just like walking on a boat.
