Main slideroom found ground up metal in under bay area.

We have a 2007 Jayco Seneca 34SS, in the forward storage area in the pass through I found ground up metal under the track area.
What should I expect for a repair?
Are there easily repaced items or best left to a repair place?
The slide does OK going out but struggles to get going on the way in
I want to fix it before it breaks down on me.
Thanks for info.

It sounds like the track has been chewed up. You may just need a new track and that isn't a job I would want to tackle as a do-it-yourself job. You may also have damaged the gear on the motor if not the motor. If it were my coach I would take it to an RV dealer and have them at least diagnose the problem.

I had a repair person check it out and it is not grindings as I thought but shavings.
The wheel at the rail end, passenger side is worn down and the rail has been dragging.
He has ordered a wheel and lubed the area for the time being.
The wheel on the other side of the slide is fine.
When we bought this rig the owners prior had put a 6 foot fold out sofa bed over that side of the slide, figure that may have had something to do with the issue.
We will find out and I will post results.

I'm glad that it is a cheap repair. If you think that the sofa bed is a bit much you can order an inflatable coach style bed that is far more comfortable than a standard sofa bed and much lighter.

We had the dealer swap out for a different sofa bed but it too was stupid and went with a loveseat recliner set.
With the big sofa bed they had a homemade dinette that was set so that smurfs would have trouble using it and had the dealer reset it too.
We found it to be unuseable and had a proper dinette made that can make up to a bed.
Now to get beyond the damaged stuff.
