Unless your RV is wired differently from mine, the CO & smoke detector use a small 9 V battery inside the devices. They are not connected to the truck or coach battery. You could open the detectors to check. Hope this helps.

For others, yes it works off the coach battery. You have parasitic drains that may run your chassis battery down if it is not up good to start with. Remember it comes with all these computers that are still running. You radio might be hooked up to the chassis battery some are some aren't. When you say for a week, is that storage or is it plugged in with shore power. Lots of things to check as well as the solenoid. What year and model is your RV?

both coach and truck battery are brand new, I think I found my problem why the coach battery went dead faulty thermostat had the fan in furnace running, it sits for a week straight not plugged in, would the lp and co detector lights drain the truck battery? I'm guessing once the coach battery dies the detector lights then run off the truck battery? its a 2004 ford majestic 23p pickup truck front
