Michelin LTX M/S 16 inch tire problem

Read on another forum where there might be a manufacturing problem with the Michelin LTX m/s 16 inch tire. A number of blow outs and that tire has been replaced. Tires are 2 to 3 years old. I have them on the motorhome I just purchased so am interested in the situation. Anyone on this forum had trouble with their Michelin tires of the same size and vintage?

Since you have good tires, the next two things to check is tire loading and tire pressure. Try to get a 4 corner weight, but if not, the two axles when loaded for a trip.

Make sure the axles and tires are not over loaded and also make sure the tire pressure is up to what it is supposed to be.

Just got it weighed, front, rear and total, all under rated load conditions. Changed hub caps on the rear so could get good access to check tire pressure. The other forum posts seem to indicate there was a manufacturing problem with those tires and Michelin did change their process. Replacement tires are M/S2 or something like that. My concern is that even at correct pressure and within weight limits I still might have a problem. Just wondered if anyone on this forum had issues. It just came up on a recent post on the other forum. Thanks

CORRECT ME IF I AM WRONG--After thoroughly reading this page on the recall it seems to be only on larger tires than the 16" rim?

It says only the 18" 19" and 20" rim tires are part of the recall.
