Microwave is possessed!

On my last little ride, the microwave became possessed and took on a mind of its own. The clock quit, the time counter kept changing to 11:11, and it beeped incessantly. I managed to find the chord and unplug it in hopes a "reboot" might help. Nope. It worked a bit, but went right back to its evil ways.
I've read something about a 59-second problem. Is this what is ailing my box of nuclear energy?

I should have put in my original post that I left it unplugged overnight.

Sounds like your control board took a dump.

The 59 second problem is completely different and involves the Sharp Microwaves. That symptom is where the microwave will work for 59 seconds and then turn off. The fix for the 59 second problem is to replace the damper board.

Personally at today's prices for really good Microwaves I would replace it with a new one. Chances are you will have to remove it anyway just to get to the board for replacement.

Up to you!

You never did post what you currently have or the model number. Having proper information for troubleshooting is required in order to do a good job.

It's hard when we don't have a crystal ball.

You need to perform an exorcism. The proper way to do it is first consume several very dry martinis. Then just as the sun is setting pour a double, head out the door with the microwave owners manual in one hand and the double martini in the other.

Stand on 1 foot and spin counter clockwise for 2 complete turns. Then spin clockwise for 2 turns on the opposite foot. Continue to remain on 1 foot and hop around the perimeter of the coach at least 3 times while continually chanting OWA TAGOO SIAM.

This procedure is guaranteed to exorcise any evil spirits from your microwave, and in addition ward off any and all evil spirits could possibly cause a hangover. Trust me!!

I'm trying to stop laughing. Oh what a goose I am! I would assume that would ward off everything and everyone. Except maybe the men in white coats.

Is it a Samsung? There was a recall on Samsung. I check ours after reading about it on this list. After confirming the recall with Samsung they told us to unplug it immediately, send it the sticker, cut the cord (photo of it). A few weeks later we got a check... are you ready? For $250!! How is that for customer service?

Check to see if it is a Samsung microwave. If so it has probably been recalled! Your mfg should have it posted on their site, Winnebago did with mine. If not, just go to microwave mfg site and check there.

UNPLUG IT UNTIL YOU FIND OUT!!!
