Minnie Winnie Water Pump

I have a Minnie Winnie 31K, with an onboard fresh water tank and a demand pump. When I turn on a tap, the pump comes on but does not stay on for the time the tap is open. It comes on, off, on, off, on, off, about as fast as you can read this.
Is this normal operation? I would have thought that it would stay on until I turn the tap off.
Thanks, in advance, for any response.

My does the same thing. It's pumping water to pressure you need and will come on and off as you are drawing water. Now if its coming on and off without drawing water then I would look for a slow leak. I hope that helps somewhat.

Sounds like an oversensitive pressure switch - or- you don't open the faucet very far. We've only used our pump to flush the toilet while we're in transit. As long as there is flow the pump should stay on.
