We have a 2003, E450, 28’ Bigfoot with the Banks Power Pack package consisting of headers & exhaust, K&N air filter and a Transcommand module by Banks that helps with the shifting properties of the transmission. Traveling at 55 to 60 MPH pulling an aluminum trailer with two Suzuki 750 ATVs this last trip we got 9 mpg +/- going over Donner Summit (7000’ +) to Carson City, NV. from Oroville Calif. and return.
Interstate 80 and hwy. 20 in Calif. is about as steep as I have traveled with this rig and the V10 would get down to 45 MPH on a few steep occasions on Hwy 20 consuming as much gas as the fuel pump would pump but the overall uphill downhill rendered the above mileage. The Banks Power Pack is a BIG improvement in performance and when we travel on the flatter /straighter roads in the valley the rig is like a sports car. I just got a Scan Gage from Santa and have not had a chance to use it yet but looking forward to seeing what it does.
