We stayed at the KOA. Great tours from there so no driving and a knowledgeable tour guide.

We stayed in Custer State Park in May 2014 and really enjoyed it. Definitely do Deadwood , it's super interesting and tour the badlands.

We stayed at Wheels West RV Park & 7th Cavalry Cafe and visited all of the "attractions" from there. Friendly Park with a great restaurant.

Make It Back

Well thanks to everyone for your suggestions, I stayed at Heartland RV and Cabins on HiWay 79 south of Rapid City. most places were still closed for the winter but I went to site see. Driving thru the parks were amazing especially the buffalo that let you know they have the right of way. Well I was having a lot of fun until the weathermen started saying that nasty word SNOW! So I took 2 days of very windy driving and headed home. Wouldn't you know it, as soon as I got in Oklahoma on I 35 a truck passed me blowing oil out of his tail pipe so I now have a lot of cleaning to keep me busy. Again I want to thank each of you, I will be going back.
