Navion/Wayfarer cargo carrying amounts?

With all the opinions on the cargo weight limits for these two units is there some way that the manufacturer can rethink and rebuild any part of these units. Can something be done to the frame or other part of the unit? I like both models but want to safely carry a mininum of needed food and cothes etc and be safe.

Every option added to the unit reduces its payload. The shorter class cs are even less so it appears.

The 2019 Sprinter chassis carries over 1000 pounds more than previous model years. Look at rigs with a 2019 Sprinter chassis. But be prepared for sticker shock. It comes at a hefty price increase.

This is true only for the 4500 Sprinter series. RV manufacturers use the 3500 series Sprinter chassis which has the same capacity as the 2018 chassis.

Not quite correct. The 2020 cutaway chassis, used for the motorhomes, has the same spec as previous years.

To the OP, the Navion has 400 lbs+ More OCCC compared to the Wayfarer.

Wow, why the heck would any RV manufacture use the under-rated 3500 when the 4500 is available? The price difference between the two can't be that much, I assume similar to the difference between the E350 and E450. Most of the price-hike for 2019 went into high-end bells and whistles that other Mercedes vehicles have.

As humanity often says..... "What Were They Thinking?" As usual...saving a few dollars where it would have been well spent.

Suggest you look the 4500 chassis up on a Mercedes website. Lots of limitations and not really suitable for a motorhome.
