New Atwood Water Heater question

So last month I realized that I didnt properly drain the water out of my water heater before winter. Turned out my tank split. This was in an 1990 model, so I decided to replace the entire unit and do it myself. The installation was pretty simple, and it works fine. My question is, when it reaches proper temperature, the heater shuts off, but then tries to reignite 3 times after that right away. After a while when the temp. drops, the heater properly restarts and brings it back up to temp. My old one didnt do that. Once it reached proper temp, it shut off, and wouldnt restart until called for. The older model had a Dinosaur board in it. Would this be why the new unit tries to reignite 3 times after it comes up to temp? is there a setting on the new board that overrides this? It doesnt effect the operation, just more of a nuisance to hear it try to relight 3 times after i know it has already reached proper temp.

I would have used the Dinosaur Board in the New WH!
