New Fleetwood Jamboree with Driveshaft squeak

Hello all. Is it safe to drive home 1,100 miles with a squeaky driveshaft? I'll call the dealership in the morning but thought I'd ask this forum for thoughts and suggestions.

if your driveshaft is squeaking, then you probably have a bad u-joint. Pretty easy and cheap to fix but I would not drive it any where except to get the parts.

What makes you think it is a drive shaft?

Drive shafts & U joints should be lubed every 6K miles.

Mine has squeaked since new. It is the carrier bearings. I just spray them with silicon spray once in awhile. I have put 6000 miles on it with the squeak. In fact I think it has stopped.

I have an appointment tomorrow with the local Ford dealer near where I'm staying. A local RV service center looked at it and it is the hanger bearing. They said it looks like it was either installed incorrectly or defective. They wanted $100 for the part and $300 to install so I'm waiting the additional day for Ford to do it under warranty since there is less than 2,000 miles on our rig.

1) Yes. We love the paint job on our Jamboree. We get compliments everywhere we go. Thanks.
2) It's fixed. New bearing and correctly aligned/shimmed the hanger. Fleetwood had it off enough to detroy the bearing. The boot was completely gone! See attached. However, I can say that they worked with Ford and had it all covered under warranty in 45 minutes. Thank you Fleetwood. It's not whether you'll have problems it's how they handle it when you do. They handled it well.

We are now at Wisconsin Dells living it up.
