Hello, just bought my first MH a Class C Coahmen Freelander 3100SO, pick it up next week. I have one simple question, how do you initially get water into the blackwater tank before you use it? Seems like you should have some water in there before you start to use it.

ok thanks, figured it was simple. I guess to maximize your water, after you flush a couple of times you refill your tanks? This of course is when your not hooked up to city water.

Even when hooked to City water you need to keep a decent amount of water in the tank before using. Most folks dump the tank after it has enough volume to do a good flush and then dump the gray tank to help clean the hose. I try to stay on city or campground water until I have dumped both tanks and then add back about 30 seconds of new water plus an additive that helps dissolve waste and paper. Most people use specific toilet paper designed for campers and RVs versus the house type. I keep a box of disposable gloves in the big bay on my unit where the waste hose is stored and I put the hose in a trash bag to keep it away from other things in the bay such as my freshwater hose. I also cap both ends of the hose after rinsing it before it goes in the bag. Welcome to the world of RVing.

Another question, I do not know the size of the propane tank on my MH but how long or how much propane does the fridge and freezer use when letting it on while travailing/parked for a long weekend? Do I have to worry about it running out if I start with a full tank?

You have a 6 gallon propane tank that can be filled to 80% capacity max. I just finishes a 30 day,3500 mile trip and used about 4 gallons. My fridge goes on electric when available and gas on the road. These units use very little propane. To be more efficient, as we use the freezer very little, I fill the extra space with the square orange juice containers to help keep it cold. I also really like my fridge monitor that I found on the Internet. It's an Acurite 00986 wireless digital freezer and refrigerator monitor. Lets me check the temps without opening the door and losing cold. It also warns me when I forget to turn it back on after parking on a very un-level rest area for lunch.
