New to me MH

I bought a 94 Tioga Arrow off an "really nice" old boy at a very reasonable price. He no longer had a use for it and I pick it up for what I thinks was a song. I have been wanted a MH to pull my bbq trailer to competition cook offs but really was not looking for one. At 60 the AC, in door plumbing, real bed. and shower sounded real nice. Just needed a cheaper but reliable MH for occassional use and a few short trips a year.

Saw the MH sitting in a guys driveway with a for sale sign in the window. Decided to stop just to see what it was. The owner quoted me a price and we looked her over. He said everything worked fine and he just did not need it anymore. I pointed out a stain in the carpet, and some fading and exterior scratches and he quickly dropped the price. I pointed out that it had been sitting for a over a year and anything could be wrong with it and I'd had to do a 350 mile trip home and was worried about the trip home, so he dropped his price again.

I got interested. We went inside heck he still had all the manuals original place mats for the dinning table. It was in good shape and he said well cared for. He said he bought it off a elderly woman after her husbands death to take his grand kids on vacation. I had my doubts but fiqured if I had to spend 1,000 to 1,500 or so it was still cheap. So I wrote out a check for 6K and became a "skepital" but proud MH owner.

Long story short. The 18 year old MH has 30,121 miles on the clock. I drove her 350 miles home and she purred like a kitten. MH has two year old BFG tire with 3K miles. 2 year old batteries. Once home I changed out all fluids checked belts hoses, etc then cleaned and waxed with Zep floor polish and she looks really shinny now.

Took her out this weekend and sure enough everthing works great. I mean every thing I looked at and checked had been repaced or was in great shape. The MH is almost too nice for what I had planned to use it for.

I am so glad to have met the seller and so, so lucky in the find. And thanks to the forum for the post for us newbies to study.

Congratulations! We also own a '94 but a Winnebago. Ours is built really well also and we've had a great time over the last three years exploring in it. I think you got a great price.
