New water heater

On our last trip, the water was acting up. Sometimes it would light and sometimes not. After checking found that the spark fof the ignitor was going to ground. The ceramic around the ignitor was caracked. The second time this has happened. 6gals of hot water is not enough for a shower. So I ordered a Suburban S16DS water heater, flush mount door, and the swithch. This is a gas/elcetric water heater. I am visiting my son and his family in another state. I left the C at home. I order the water heater and had it sent to my daughter's house. She lives in the same town. When it arrived the box with the door had a crushed corner, the door corner was bent, the paint was flaking off. Also the corner on the water heater box was crushed, the mounting flange was bent. My concern was that there is gas connections on the water heater and that the tank is porcelain lined and that the lining may have cracked. I wanted the water heater there so when I get back home next Sat. I would have time to install it before the next trip a couple weeks later. A call to PPL MOTORS, told the rep was the problem was, less than 3 minutes later, a new water heater and door would be shipped to me, will arrive tomorrow. That is what I call SUPER GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Hoping the new stuff arrives undamaged.

PPL, albeit a bit high priced on many things, always has phenomenal customer service. I order from them when necessary for many things.

Hi 94 Newmar, I have ordered from them a lot. I usually look for the sale price and this time the water heater and door were on sale.
I like sales.
