No 12 vt power

The switch which turns on the power to the RV does not work. Double checked the batteries and they are holding a charge. They are sealed deep cell so fluid levels are good. The switch that turns on the power 12volts, makes no sound and does not light up. If plugged in, engine running or generator on, switch works and comes on automatically. I needed the fridge to work so I ran a set of wires off the batteries to the fridge which gave power to everything. Any thoughts. Don't know if it is related but the slide went out very slow and would not go back in even with engine running. Had to manually crank it in. Gauge shows system charging when plugged in, running, or generator on. After driving for 3 1/2 hours batteries showed good and tested at 13 volts. Slide fuse was blown, replaced and it blew as soon as it connected with terminals.

I would have the batteries tested. Reading 13V after being charged for a while only indicates a surface charge. What do they read after 4 hours of no load or input?

Just had both batteries tested and read out said batteries are good. It is going to the mechanic tomorrow so of course the 12 volt switch started working on its own.
