No slides animal C/B+

I am trying to identify slideless wide body class C or B+ Motorhome brand/models like the Leasure Travel Unity at a lower price point. I can’t believe Winnabego doesn’t make one.

You and I are the rare few people who don't want any slide outs.

Our rig SEEN HERE has a 93" narrow body and still we ordered it with no slide out. It is a PHOENIX CRUISER model 2350. We are very happy without the dance floor. There are so many benefits when avoiding a slide out such as......

- In our particular situation, we got a spacious dinette. The extra wall space gained and the use of the angled transition wall made the dinette comfortable.
- The over-head cabinetry is much taller and deeper.
- The rig is 600 pounds lighter
- No concern of mechanical failure
- Better insulated and no air leakage, warmer in high altitude camping, and cooler in hot summer camping
- No bugs, dirt, or water coming in for a ride when closing it up
- No rattles, no air whistling when driving (more common with age)
- A stronger house structure without a massive hole
- $6000 savings by deleting the optional slide-out
- It's nice inside all the time, not carrying a massive box while traveling

I am also a why would I want a slide.
Will also say to anyone to get a MH, trailer or what with out a slide.
Just count how many my slide wont go in or out there are.
KISS Keep It Simple Stupid. But oh ah look at the room a slide gives me.
Me I use my tiny 23' long class c as transportation, I do not need to pay for
the fuel for that extra weight that a slide brings.
But they will build what sells and room sells. I want the room outside,
that my MH brings me to.
The older slide less MH are keeping their value.
The trick is to find one that the owner does not want a damb fortune for it.
There is a ton of 30' no slide older units out there.

I have to agree with Ron and Capt Dave. We love our sideless 2012 Nexus Phantom 23P. With 7' of headroom throughout the coach and at 101" wide it is perhaps the roomiest C under 25' out there.

Find a great floor plan that works for the way you intend too use the coach and forget about slides. They add weight, expense and are about as problematic as electric steps. When you have a slide problem {and you will} it will be a big problem and as a corollary of Murphies Law it will come at the worst possible moment.

The OP might want to check out the Lazy Daze line {all sideless} of great, well built Class C's.

I didnt want a slide either so a year ago I bought a Winnebago Minnie Winnie 22r and spent 3 months in florida last winter and am leaving soon for another 3 months. We do not tow a toad and use our MH as a daily driver when in florida. Have not yet had a problem finding parking in cities such as Venice Beach, St.Augustine and others.... may just have to walk a block or so....bob

If I could talk my wife out of slides I'd be able to get the older Prevost over at Liberty coach. It's a beauty.

Winnebago Minnie Winnies 25R & 25B made without slides. If on a 450 chassis the cargo capacity great. On a 350 not so great.

Coachmen has a number of Orion and Cross Trek models without slides at lower price points.
While not “wide body” they are based on Ford Transit’s so sport pretty decent gas mileage.

Thanks for all the suggestions. It’s just my wife and I so we are just looking for a B+ or a C without the front wind catcher (overhang).

I find it amusing that some manufacturers would opt for a hanging bed over a dinette rather than the LTV Unity TB layout with the convertible twins=> queen in the rear.

Don’t get me started on the corner bed models. I guess that is why there are so many for sale on RVTrader.

I guess the Winnebago Era 70A is the only thing that comes close to the Unity TB after a lot of looking.

We wanted a no slide MH for the same reasons.
Some other considerations are:
-Easy setup and take down (we can decide to drive to dinner and leave in less than 2 minutes)
-Murphy Bed keeps all bedding on when folded back. Can set up bed in one minute.

LTV Wonder with front twin bed is so open and airy that it is the only sideless coach my wife would consider. Also, don't forget Lazy Daze. No slides, HUGE windows (double paned), just a hassle to buy.

No slide-out motorhomes I have come up with so far. It is just the two of us so we don’t need a V10 or to sleep 8 people. We are hoping we can find a diesel under 5 years old for less than $70K. This list was compiled from 2020 model RV from https://www.rvingplanet.com. I haven’t found a website that displays floorplans in the top level search results for older model years. Used Lazy Dazes are very scarce. We are starting to look at gas MHs but really want diesel. We would have to go back to 2011 to get a LTV Unity and that’s too old for us to fork out those kind of bucks (no loans!).
