NO Start condition: 1 T992 Ford E350 460 Cubic
This is a dually cutaway chassis with a Champion Chase Commander RV body. Hoping for some help. For the second time now, I am getting a no-start condition when the vehicle sits in high humidity. The first time it happened I removed the ignition control module and had it tested. Auto Zone checked it OK after cycling it several times to make sure it was getting warmed up. This module was mounted out on the finder well and on a large heat sync.
I purchased a spark tester to determine if the spark was working, but before I could go further the weather cleared up and the vehicle started with no problem. The intermittent issues are very difficult to fix.
One thing I noticed on the first failure and today, is that as I release the ignition key back to run position, the vehicle momentarily tries to fire. It is as though the run terminal has a problem relative to the start position in the lock mechanism. Does anyone have a diagram on how to get to the ignition electrical switch?
If anyone has experienced this problem and a solution, I certainly would like to know where to begin with a fix. Thanks in advance for any assistance.
