No stop and turn signal lights...

Hi, first a little back ground. I have a 1999 28' Gulfstream on a 1998 Ford with the V10. The last two seasons I had no issues at all. Last weekend I got it out of storage and washed, waxed, changed oil and get her all ready for the season. Or, so I thought. When I dropped it back off to the storage lot my wife who was behind me says there are no turn signals or brake lights. The running lights do work though. I checked the bulbs, replaces the fuses, replaced the brake light switch and replaced the turn signal multi function switch. Still, nothing...... Has anyone run into this before? I dont think there is anything else to replace.

Get your volt meter, start with the plug on the truck and work your way back. There should be some legend on the plug as to what prong works what. Looking at the female plug on my truck the 9:00 position is the left turn/left stop, the 3:00 is the right turn/right stop, and the one at 7:00 is ground. There may be some type of junction box at the end of the trailer plug pigtail and then straight to the lights at the back.

TwoStep is correct. Start at the trailer plug. You will probably find where someone spliced connectors into the main wiring harness to connect the trailer plug. Unwrap any suspicious tape covered splices. I have even seen them use scotch locks which will cause lots of problems.

Do the front turn signals and indicator lamps on the instrument panel flash when you put on the turn signals? Maybe the turn signal flasher has gone bad?

most people do what you BUTdid you check the trailer plug in at the back follow from plug to fractory harness people used pinch connecter no tape no nothing wire rots and breaks and sometimes just squeze the the sockets so bulb fits a little tighter
