Northern Virginia Mechanic Needed
The alternator in my 31-foot Class C 2004 Itasca Spirit -- E-450 chassis/V-10 6.8L -- went kaput halfway to Baltimore on my trip to Chicago (via Atlantic City). Looks like GS Extended Warranty will pay for the fix and GS Roadside Assistance will tow it to where it needs to go for service.
But where? Ford dealers here don't work on RVs and my usual mechanic doesn't have the space, either.
Can anyone suggest a good "under-the-hood" tech?
I'm driving out to Chicago the old fashioned way -- in a *gasp!* automobile -- so I've got a couple of weeks to address this.
Would appreciate any suggestions.
(NOTE: I've also posted this in the Ford Chassis Forum).
