Onan 4000 mount to chassis.

New to the RVIng world. Question I have is why the generator does not have any vibration suppression on its mounting points to the Four Winds underbelly?

Seems to have a lot off vibration coming into the coach. Viable options to add them?

If it's a microlite it is rubber mounted internally, within the housing.

It should run smooth as silk, no vibration. Ours is so quiet you can't hear it over the AC unless you're back there on top of it. (which is where our bedroom is. LOL)

I have ran it 'till 11 o'clock at night for AC. Maybe only once though. It's ten years old and has about 220 hours on it.

Thanks for that. It is a Microquiet and it just seemed odd that the mounting of the brackets was metal to metal. Just seems to project alot on to the sleeper sofa directly above it. Well, that were my kid is sleeping so unlucky for him.....

Maybe I got the name confused. Or that's what they used to call them.

In any case, it's the same 4Kw gen. Single cylinder overhead valve, gas or propane powered.

Do the de-carbon routine, replace the sparkplug, clean or replace the air filter, and adjust the carb for altitude. It should run velvety smooth.

How many hours on the hobbs?

It's 11 years old or so. 150 hours. The carb was replaced just prior to delivery to me because it was running rough. It seemingly is running just fine.
