Onan gen feet

Should there be some sort of rubber or other material on the bottom of my gen, The tail pipe hanger is broke and the gen appears to be sitting directly on the gens holding tray. It appears to be at least 2 inch gap. Should it have some sort of feet on it?

You didn't give us any model numbers so I'll venture a guess. I have a 1998 Class C and have pulled my generator twice to work on it. The bottom of the green Onan case just sits on the Chassis and is bolted in. The exhaust pipe slides onto the muffler and a U-bolt attaches it.

Good luck.
