Onan Gen Fix

I have a 20 year old unit the generator would never start without pulling the line and priming if you didn't use it every week or two. The lines fine all the way to the tank but ??? I installed a boat tank primer bulb just outside the generator housing.

Life is good now

A fiend said it was a crazy idea but a year later 2 minute issue before 30 minute issue.

My old Generac generator has a prime switch that runs the fuel pump.

Doesn't Onan have a prime switch ?
Some of them work by holding the switch in the stop or off position.

Supposed to work that way but after a few Onan pumps I put another one in and life is good. Mounted the pump external too after a pump a year of Onan crap.
