I have a 2001 Fleetwood Jamboree (24') with the Chevy Vortec 7400 engine (454). 18k miles. On a cool day (haven't driven in the summer yet; new) the temp gauge hovers around 210 degrees. (middle of the temp range). Is this what most folks are seeing for typical operating temperature?

It could be the gauge. My experience with a 1995 and 1999 GM chassis RV is that the dashboard temperature gauges are not very accurate. I added aftermarket gauges on both of these RV's and found the dash gauges were reading low, not high.

1995: GM 6.5 diesel. Added a temperature gauge and sending unit
1999: GM 7.4l gas. Added a Scanguage

Can't speak for the vortec but the newer engines do run higher temps due to emissions. My V10 stays around 204 degrees.

vortec's come with a 195 deg thermostat.
if you are normally at 210, it is the gauge or a bad thermostat.

i use scan gauge to check eng temp.
my P32 chassi guages are inaccurate.
