placement of extra batteries

Can I mount batteries under bench seat at dining table?

Battery in a bank need to be in close proximity [similar length cables] to ensure equally balanced charge and discharge results. Lead-acid bats also need to breath/be vented [acid/gasses] so being inside a living space is not an option......

Yes, if proper batteries for inside a living space. Not wet cell batteries..,

I have the two original batteries under the entry steps, and another two added in a storage compartment on the other side of the coach.

I work with very large batteries on a daily basis and I wouldn't put them in a living space because on deep discharge even valve regulated batteries will gas....
