Halla, I think you & I may have had coaches built during the move of all diesel rig manufacturing to a new facility. That was mentioned during my conversation with the repair guys this morning.

I figured that was during our builds. They took all of the good mechanics to the new factory.

Let us know what happened about the top of the door hitting the cab over.

Will do. They say they have a fix for that. We'll see.

Our slide out was fixed over the past 2 weeks. General RV did a great job. They noted the top of the rear part of the slide wasn't even touching the track, so the bottom of the slide was doing all of the work. Also one of the guide wheels on the bottom was not even touching the floor. All in all, it goes in and out like butter now, no squeaking, popping or grinding (which it did since day 1.).

As of this fix, I think they have fixed or rebuild about 75% of our coach. Leave Friday to try it out again. Keeping our fingers crossed that no more major issues come along.

Just wanted to give everyone an update.

It's always nice to hear of a successful fix. Hope it's the last for a while. Now if Hat-Trick has the same luck.

Very interesting thread....I can't believe all the problems with these new rigs. Good to see the dealership and Thor stepping up. But really, you loose so much time getting the thing sorted out and how much confidence do you have that its going to be trouble free?

Just finished a week long trip around Ohio. 6 campgrounds and a bunch of miles. Everything worked great, no issues. Plus Thor contacted me while we were gone, getting an extended warranty and all the parts paid for that I replaced.

Fantastic! I really am getting the feeling that they want to do right by us.

They tell me mine is "almost done" in Elkhart.

New RV

I have a 2011 Jayco Greyhawk 31FS and I bought it brand new. It took them over a year to sort out all the problems. I finally had to get a lawyer involved and Jayco flew a technician from Ohio to Florida to fix the unit. He had to rewire the entire dashboard but it works fine now but I did lose almost an entire year of use.

Did Jayco reimburse your payments for the year and extend your warranty?

Picked my 33SW up at Thor yesterday

I was sure hoping I could report that all is well.

Not so. They couldn't replicate the fault warning on my levelers, so nothing was done.

Didn't address my wildly inaccurate fuel gauges or fueling problems (due, I'm sure to improper venting). Didn't discover these things until I was half way home.

Next stop will be the dealer. Maybe I'll have better luck there.

They did address the issue that started this thread - misalignment of the overhead cap.

Also, they relocated my trailer hitch wiring outlet. Their standard placement of this fragile piece is on the BOTTOM of the hitch, making it the lowest point on the rear of the coach.
