Possible new RV owner

Looking at a 2007 Four Rivers Lexington B+ 255 GTS RV. Does anyone have any experience with this unit?

Notice here that you are looking at a unit similar to my Coach House Platinum, i.e. same chassis and same fiberglass cabin. The Four Rivers is nice... we bought ours for traveling round-robin east-west coast twice a year. It's great for two with dogfriends and it has everything you will ever want in an RV. We've been boondoggin for a week in it at a national wilderness. Some quick suggestions: Drive it on expressway to determine sway problems - Ford e450 known for doeing the dance! Check the class C chassis forums before you buy unless you have had experience (i.e. check/adjust front wheel camber or install aftermarket "straight-steer" kit). Cross-winds? Not a problem with an adjustable rear air-suspension kit. Get familiar with making 'tight' turns - dealer says he makes full time work replacing rear bumper assemblies where something was hit during a turn! Other than that, you will have the best high-end RV class b+ unit on the road!

Had not been here for some time and saw your post tonight. We bought a used '06 Lexington 255 with the diesel engine. With the exception of some re-sealing of the roof seams and front bubble top to cab seal, we are very happy with our choice. Mileage on the engine is way better that it was with the 450 on our old '89 Telstar Champion!!!. Driving it at first was a new experience as it seemed way bigger than our old one, but after a few trips, driving it to Cali, was a snap. Good luck on your search!!
