Here in Ohio I can get a 20 gallon tank refilled for $15.95. That is if you take it to the local propane distributor. Granted you don't really get the full 20 gallons in a 20 gallon tank. Back maybe 6-7 years ago when natural gas prices peaked it was $24 to fill a tank.

Remember NY. has all kinds of taxes...$3.50 a gallon seems high.

I don't really worry about it, it is what it is. I top off our 40 gallon (32 usable) tank every couple of years and then only take about 10 gallons or so.

I just filled mine up last week at an apple orchard near Albany and was so thrilled to find some so close to home base I made the mistake of not asking how much. $4.65 gal. Yikes! I'll be asking first next time.

Is that a 20# tank or a 20 gallon tank?

3.69 a gal in the panhandle. Other places in town are between 3.65 to 3.99 a gal.

Cheers
