Radio
2017 Coachmen 26RS, radio sucks. Is it the antenna location? Anyone update there's? House didn't come with a radio or speakers. Should I work on the radio in the cab or the house?
Thanks
Mike

I've seen 2017 Coachmen 26RS built on Ford or GM chassis, you didn't identify which you have. There's an overhang over the cab, it could be interfering with the antenna reception, especially if it's a windshield mounted antenna. Have you addressed this problem to the dealer while it's under warranty? You'll have to investigate where the antenna is located, maybe your chassis owners manual addresses this. Putting a fender mounted antenna might be a solution, again you'll have to check out what the radio has and if it's a standard antenna plug. Hard to help without knowing what chassis you have. You could also check with a dealer of that chassis and see what they say.

I forgot to mention that I've heard and read of folks that found the antenna not plugged into the back of the radio. You might pull the radio out of the dash and make sure it's hooked up like it's supposed to be. A nice mod if you don't have it already is a SPDT switch that allows the radio to be powered by the house battery when parked. Driving, it's nice to have it go on and off with the ignition switch, but parked you could switch it to the house battery so you don't have to leave the ignition on accessory.

BFlinn. The radio works well enough so the antenna connection is OK, used to have a pull behind and the radio was fine so i figured the antenna was on top the trailer maybe that's the issue with the MH radio.
Thanks

Would you explain the SPDT switch setup as I have a 2008 Class C Access.

Power from chassis and house should be fuse protected.

If the radio "works well enough", what exactly are you asking for help with?
