Raise speed limiter on 2007 Jayco Seneca 34SS?

Recently we went cross country with our new to us
2007 Jayco Seneca 34SS, while it had plenty of power
I was a bit disappointed that it topped out at 75mph,
it could be tickled up to 76-77 playing with the cruise control.
It has a Banks box, Ottomind I believe but not with the optional
controller. I would like to get a bit more mph for safer passing
when at the higher speed limits permissible on some highways.
Passing at a 2 mph difference is not what I consider safe and
is a nuisance to any behind me.
Has anyone addressed this issue?

Pardon me for asking, but if the guy in front of you is doing over 70 mph, why would you need to pass him???

Seems like 75 is plenty for passing the double-nickel slowpokes most of us come up behind!

But this response ought to bump you to the "active" column, where I'm sure others will have different opinions, not to mention helpful advice about achieving your goal...

Your tires are most likely speed rated only to 75 MPH - thus, the speed limiter.

I would be happy with 80/85 to pass without a crawl.
A lot of places are legal 70/75 mph and the trucks run at those speeds.
Francesa, have you ever moved to pass someone and have them speed up just
to be a explitive deleted type?
I would rather have enough to not need to use it unless needed.

RV tires are rated for continuous duty at 65 mph at max rated load and inflation. They can handle short excursions above 65, but do it for very long and you might have problems.

Our Michelins are rated for 75 mph. What tires aren't?

fyi, I never read the fine print on my tires, but every once ina while, the knight has crept up over 85....

My best advice is to not exceed the speed ratings of your tires. Recreation Vehicles are not designed for speed especially on an F450 with a Class C body configuration. Be safe, arrive alive.

I infrequently break the 65 MPH barrier. Most toads can not be towed faster than 65 MPH. I will typically travel at 62 MPH. Your need for speeds of 85MPH exceeds every speed limit in the continental US.

In the many years we have read, "I only have a weekend in which to travel so I need to get there." In my opinion, that has never been a sustainable reason. Plan ahead, take your time and enjoy.

i bought my r v just under a year ago it would only run 55-60 after tuning it will run 75 and most times that is way too fast for safe driving it isn't a car, you aren't going to get any where fast in an r v so don't try.
i will cruise it just fast enough to stay out of the way i have learned this since i bought it. i too wanted to step out and run and it isn't a good idea you may know what you are going to do but not what the rest of the drivers are going to do and these things will not stop in a hurry.

My mistake, Motor Home tires are rated at 75mph. The Goodyear brochure (http://www.goodyearrvtires.com/pdfs/tire-care-guide.pdf) is a pretty good source for tire inflation and load ratings. All of this info is the same for all manufacturers since they are agreed upon by the Tire and Rim Manufacturers Association and published in a book of standards.l

Again, i'd just websearch then call. There are zillions of outfits that chip duramax diesels.
