There is a great article on the new Coachmen Leprechaun 260 DS in current Motorhome magazine. We purchased a Coachman 21RS that is 25’ long and has similar layout and have been extremely happy with it. Ours is the Chevy Chassis and it has great basement storage under the slide out. Coachmen has a great website that allows you to check out their offerings. Fit and finish is OK, you get what you pay for.

Two of my friends both purchased a Leprechaun and Both were very happy with it. One had the Chevy tranny and the other had the E-450 chassis. I personally have owned a Coach House 23' Platinum many years now. It also has the E-450 chassis. The tow-haul mode on the Ford is highly praised by their owners! Chevy owners claim that the front end rides smoother and has better driving controllability than the Ford but I noticed the Chevy is heavier overall (and with the same Leprechaun model). I personally liked them both and would recommend either of them simply based on what my friends said about it (and they don't know each other!)

We have a forest river 2500ts on a Chevy platform. 27ft and great for two people plus pet or two.

We drove our new Jayco Redhawk 24B home early March. Will be installing tire minders before our first short trip early April to our favorite local campground, Holly River State Park in WV to checkout our setup, before we head out for the Canadian Rockies. I was surprised that all my stuff fit in between the storage bins and bed above the cab. So far, we are very pleased. At 26’ 8”, it is short enough for our favorite campground. With slide out, there is an amazing amount of empty space for a short motorhome.

I just bought an Entegra Esteem 29V so it is a little longer than the one you are considering. My previous RV was a 2008 Winnebago Aspect 26A which was a decent rig. I think the Entegra matches or betters the quality my Aspect had. Add in what you mention, 2 year warranty, 7500 towing hitch and a fiberglass one piece roof and it put the Entegra over the top. My toad weighs over 4300# and there is no way the Mercedes chassis could handle that.

Entegras are just more fancy Jaycos so I don't think you can go wrong with either brand. After saying all that, I take delivery on Friday so I might be talking through my hat! HA!
