rear end gear ratio, where is the Electronic Control Module

How do I find the rear end gear ratio on a 2002, E450, BigFoot 30MH27DSL Class C, moter home, also where is the Electronic Control Module (ECM) located on the E450 V 10 as I would like to install a 5 Star Programmer and I need the serial/model number on the ECM and the numerical rear end gear ratio.
Thanks for any help on this.

There is a metal tag that is on one of the rear end cover bolts.
It will have the ratio on it.

If you do NOT have a limmited slip rear axle it will look like (most likely)
4 63 XXX

If you do have a limmited slip axle (Doutful)

4L63 XX

sometimes the first digit of the ratio is almost under the head of the bolt
and hard to see.
I have no idea where your ECM is located. You could just follow the 50-75 wires coming off the engine computer harness.

Ditto on the rear end tag. The pcm is located under the dash and is accessable from under the hood. Look just to the left of the air cleaner housing on the upper firewall you will find a long connector looking like its attached to the firewall. It will have 120 wires to it and is held in place with one bolt in the center. Loosen the bolt Disconnect battery first!) and the connector will come loose. On each side of the connector left on the firewall you will find one bolt or studed nut. loosen these and the pcm will slide out. The number will be on a paper label on the flat side and the label will have about 6 different numbers. the calibration code, I think is what 5 star wants. Hope this helps
